RMT has suspended tomorrow's tube strike, however the dispute over pay, staffing and Night Tube is still ongoing.
While Transport Union RMT has agreed to suspend tomorrow's strike, the week long strike scheduled for February 7 are still in place while they consider the latest offer.
The proposed offer (source: BBC) is
- Year 1: 2% pay rise
- Year 2 & 3: RPI inflation or 1% (whichever is greater)
- Year 4: RPI + 0.25% or 1% (whichever is greater)
- Additional £500 bonus for staff on lines where the night Tube will run.
Mick Cash, General secretary of RMT Union, has said:
"RMT's executive has agreed to suspend tomorrow's action over pay and night tube to allow for further consideration and consultation on the current offer. The union makes it clear that we remain in dispute and the strike action scheduled for February remains on.
